Spring is finally here! That means it’s time to get ready for the Recital.

More information on the annual year end show will follow in the next newsletter.

We are delighted to announce The Dance Zone has been voted the Platinum award for Best Dance Studio in Vaughan and Diamond for Best Kids Camp!  We appreciate all of your support and thank everyone who voted for us!

Best of luck to our competitive team who have been very busy preparing for their upcoming first competition in a few weeks in Kitchener...our first competition of the season!

Both studios will be closed on Friday April 3rd for Good Friday Holiday. We will be open on Saturday April 4th for regular classes.

We will be closed on Sunday April 5th for Easter holiday. There will be no regular classes on Easter Monday, Monday April 6th but we may have rehearsals that day for our competitive team (schedule to follow).

Photo Day for our recreational program is scheduled for Sunday May 31st at our Jane location.

The schedule will be given out 1 week before the picture date indicated above.  

There is no obligation to purchase any pictures. 

Please note that classes for our 2025/2026 season end on Saturday June 6th.  Rehearsal for our Recreational program will be held at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts on Thursday June 11th (during the day).  Attendance is not mandatory but strongly encouraged.  Schedule to follow.

All recreational students must have and wear their appropriate dance shoes for their classes. 

• Tiny Tots (ages 5 & under; 30 min class)
  Ballet/Jazz:   Capezio Lily 212 or Luna - ballet shoes pink
  Tap:   Capezio #356c tap shoes white only
   
• Little Steps (ages 6-8; 45 min class)
  Jazz: barefeet
  Ballet: Capezio Lily 212 or Luna - ballet shoes pink
  Tap: Capezio #356c tap shoes white only
   
• Ages 9 & up (1 hour class)
  Tap: CG #17 Capezio black
  Jazz/Acro/Contemporary: bare feet

Our annual recital will be held at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts from  Friday June 12 - Sunday June 14, 2026. 

Please note that your kids will be dancing in 2 of the 4 shows (Friday 7:00 PM, Saturday 12:00 PM or Saturday 7:00 PM). Please check with your studio manager if you need more specific information. 

Our competitive showcase is on Sunday June 14th at 7:00 PM.

Costumes for the Weston and Jane location students will be available for pick up 1-2 weeks before their Picture Day. Costume balances are due at time of pick up. Debit is our preferred method of payment. Credit cards are also accepted but please note there is a 3% service charge on credit card transactions only. 

Registration will be open for our returning families as of April 1st.

If all your information is the same, we can just transfer your file over to the new season.  Payments for the new season will not be processed until September 1st. 

You can email the studio or speak with the studio manager during our office hours to confirm your child’s spot.

Registration will be open to the public starting May 1st.

We will be holding 2 dance camps this summer July 6th - 17th and August 10th - 21st (not including weekends). The camp will be held at our Jane location. There are limited spots available for our Summer Dance Camp. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. The fee is $299 plus HST for the 2 weeks ($175 plus HST for 1 week).

The camp involves Hip Hop, Jazz, Acro, arts & crafts, games and pizza Fridays. Children should wear comfortable clothing (shorts / t-shirts / running shoes). It's an all female teaching staff and no previous experience is required. It’s all about the children having fun! Dropoff is from 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM and pickup is from 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM. Reminder that next week is March Break and there will be NO regularly scheduled classes Monday March 16th - Saturday March 21st, 2026.

We have a few spaces left in our March Break Camp being held at our Weston location from Monday March 16th - Friday March 20th.

·  The Camp will run from 9 AM - 4 PM.

·  Drop off is between 8:30 AM - 9 PM; 

·  Pick up is between 4 PM - 4:30 PM.    

The fee is $175 plus HST per child.  

There will be an additional cost of $20 per day if you require an earlier drop off (8:00 AM - 8:30 AM) and a later pick up (4:30 PM - 5:00 PM).   

Payment is due on the first day of camp; you can pay by cash, direct debit or credit card (please note there is a 3% service charge on credit card transactions only). 

Children will be taking part in Jazz, Acro and Hip Hop classes. They will also be participating in games and crafts. They should bring a lunch from Monday to Thursday as children will not be allowed to leave the studio premises at all. We will be serving pizza on Friday.
