Hi Everyone,

This is the second installment of our newsletter for this season. It is the responsibility of the parents to read the newsletters. If you do not receive this newsletter via email, please see the office manager to confirm your email address.

We are still accepting registrations during the month of October only if there is  availability in the requested classes.

We will be OPEN on Saturday October 10th for regularly scheduled classes.

We will be closed for Thanksgiving on Sunday October 11th and Monday October 12th.

Reminder to all parents and students that the only beverage we want in the studios is water. For those students who have more than two or three classes, they will be given a few minutes in between classes for a quick snack like a piece of fruit or vegetable, granola bar...something quick to eat and not messy (NO chips/popcorn/goldfish crackers and NO gum/candy). Reminder that we are a nut free environment, so no tree nuts or peanuts in the studio at all please! We do have students who are anaphylactic to all nuts. We also ask that parents/children in the waiting area refrain from eating.

Children should not be wearing any jewelry while dancing (except for stud earrings) and hair needs to be tied back securely with a proper hair elastic.  We also ask that you not bring in any valuables.  If you do lose something, check with the studio manager in the office.  We are not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Please ensure that your children put their name on all articles of clothing, especially dance shoes and dance bags

All students must be dressed appropriately for classes.

Girls in BabyTots/Tiny Tots (ages 2-5) classes: black or pink body suits (tights are not recommended), tutus are allowed in ballet classes only. They can also wear any leggings/shorts, crop tops/tank tops in black only for the other classes.

Girls in Little Steps classes (ages 6-8) or 1 hr classes (ages 9-12); anything black, leggings/shorts, crop tops, tanks tops or fitted t-shirts.

Boys - black sweatpants/shorts & tank tops/t-shirts.
 

Tiny Tots (ages 2-5; 30 min class)

Jazz: Capezio Lily 212 or Luna - ballet shoes pink

Ballet: Capezio Lily 212 or Luna - ballet shoes pink

Tap: Capezio #356c tap shoes white
 

Little Steps (ages 6-8; 45 min class)

Jazz: Barefeet

Ballet: Capezio Lily 212 or Luna - ballet shoes pink

Tap: Capezio #356c tap shoes white
 

Ages 9 & up  (1 hour class)

Tap:  CG #17 Capezio black

Jazz/Acro/Contemporary: bare feet
 

For boys only

Jazz and Ballet: black ballet slippers

Tap: Black lace up tap shoes
 

All Hip Hop Classes

Attire:  Sweatpants/tshirts/sweatshirts in any colour (no jeans/dresses/skirts)

Shoes:  Dry & clean running shoes (non marking soles)

We will start collecting costume deposits this month. We will let you know when the deposits are posted on your online portal for you to make payment. 

 For girls, the deposit is $75.00 per costume.  For boys, the deposit is $50.00.  
*Deposits are not refundable*

We will be OPEN for Halloween on Saturday October 31st.

Halloween dress-up week will take place October 26th - 31st. Kids can dress up in their costumes for classes (just make sure they can dance in them!).

We have started booking birthday parties which are held at our Weston location. The party fee is $199.00 for our Dance Zone students and $299.00 for non-students. Fee includes the HST. Parties are held on Saturdays from 3:30-5:30 PM.

Each party will consist of two suggested 45 minute teaching sessions and 30 minutes of eating/celebration. However, the parent can use their time any way they wish. There will be a maximum of 20 children allowed per party.  We provide the tables, chairs, teacher and the music. The parents bring any food / beverages or decorations they wish to use.
